Does this work for all skin tones?
The explanation with the product does not say that it is for any certain skin tone. Somehow, the color is different depending on the individual who wears it. I have tried it and it is a completely different color than when my daughter wears it. I think you will like it. It lasts a pretty good amount of time and the color is very delicate, no matter which one of us is wearing it. Because there are two tubes, you and a friend can both try it and see what happens colorwise. When I was a kid, my mom used to have a lipstick that created a different color depending on who wore it. She used to tell me it had to do with the person's "chemistry" and that the color that shows up is the one that is best for the individual person. I don't know if she was right, but we like this one.
Are the two supposed to be different shades?
It is the same shade to me, but, it will change shades on your lips at different temperatures and depend on how thick of the spread you put in the lips will affect the color it display
