Thanks for the question! Please note that we do use alumina (aluminum oxide) as a source of shimmer in some of our lip color products. It is commonly -used in cosmetics and is considered safe for cosmetic use. We have another ingredient that has the word aluminum in it, but it’s actually just the scientific name for clay (magnesium aluminum silicate), which is used in some of our lotions and creams. It does not have spf, but it also does not have paba or parabens. Not having toxic elements in my lipstick or shimmer is more important than spf. They are creamy and go on easily.
Because it contains peppermint oil among other all natural ingredients that give that tingling sensation.
